When it comes to hair care, Shu Uemura’s Art of Hair line is nothing but quality. The brand has excelled far into a realm where hair products are not only for cleansing and treatment, but also becoming a state of art. A few days ago I posted a quick snap of what we will be seeing today.
Shu’s new Essence Absolue Nourishing Oil-In-Cream is another great product built upon Camellia Oil. For those of you who don’t know what Camellia Oil is, it is simply a natural detangler that provides extremely deep nourishment and shine.
Check out more information regarding this cream here. So what exactly is this Oil-In-Cream and what is all the hype about? For starters, it is the 3rd addition (4th if you consider the Essential Drops) to the family of oils which started with the hair shampoo. It is actually a cream that nourishes coarse dry unruly hair. Not only does it tame the hair, it also softens it up. Think of a mallet and a big piece of meat. You soften the beef up with the mallet as you would use this cream to soften the hair. Though softening isn’t all that this cream is about, it also provides your hair with moisture and shine, as well as UV protection, consider it sunscreen for the hair.
To use this cream, apply it on towel-dried hair then blow dry. It acts like a leave in treatment, suitable for daily use and color-treated hair.
Here is a snap of how the cream looks. Even by holding it on the hand you could feel the nourishment and smell the subtle scent of sweet Camellia that is so fresh. For medium length hair, this much product is all you need. It absorbs really quickly into the hair without feeling greasy, nor does it weighing down the hair. After blow drying, the hair feels airy and bouncy, soft and smooth, frizziness to the minimal. And the best thing is, the hair smells so heavenly. To further nourish the hair and make it even more shinier, I pump one Protective Oil.
Shu Uemura never stops turning imagination into reality. Before I thought the oil from the makeup line was only for taking makeup off. Then Shu came out with the cleansing oil shampoo that utilizes the same concept of “oil removes oil”. In between there is a volume maker for the hair that looked like a makeup brush for applying powder. Now there is an Oil-In-Cream that gives intense nourishment and more. I wonder what will be next…
