Shu Uemura High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil OB Collection

Merriam-Webster definition of “legendary”

  1. of, relating to, or characteristic oflegendor a legend

When I played World of Warcraft, there’re a in-game items categorized as poor, common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary. I’ve acquired everything but legendary which is extremely hard to get. Sometimes it takes a whole group of people doing raids for days even weeks. So you get the idea.

Why are we mentioning this specific word and the video game here since we’re talking about beauty today? You probably already guessed the connection between our product and my feeling towards it. It’s none other than the legendary cleansing oil from Shu Uemura, but of course in a brand new edition. It’s the same high performance balancing cleansing oil in a nutshell of dreamy art designed packaging, from Spring 2013 ob collection.

Aside the cute doll that my daughter wanted for herself on the box, let’s take a look at the facts that our adults more interested in, ingredients, directions, etc. Do note that the three key ingredients include Camellia Oil for its rich nutritive, restorative and anti-oxidative properties, Ginger Root Extract, a long history Asian herb, and Depsea Water responsible for boosting skin moisture and improving skin quality.

Compare to the other Shu cleansing oils we featured earlier, the usage of the high performance oil is the same as White Recovery EX Brightening Cleansing Oil (review here), but different from Skin Purifier Fresh Pore Clarifying Gentle Cleansing Oil (review here). So make sure your hands and face are complete dry before applying.

Now let’s take a look at the bottle itself. It’s really futuristic and feminine at the same time. So wonder my daughter wanted a doll like that. It’s an instant eye candy that you would want to hold in hand even when it’s empty. The color combination yellow and green is just as spring-like as it can be.

The cleansing oil is a bit thicker than the fresh pore and whitefficient cleansing oils, but its cleansing power is even more effective if not the same as its peers. If you think the pink bottle as fresh version and the blue bottle the whitening version, then you can call the yellow bottle the powerhouse. It removes anything and everything, including waterproof makeup. And the good thing is the cleansing oil is well balanced at keeping skin’s moisture without striping off any of them. After washing, the skin is clean, soft, and comfortable. I also want to mention is that the oil smells wonderfully with the aroma of rosemary, so calming.

Shu Uemura cleansing oil never fails me. I can’t tell which bottle I loved more because each of them are different but all unique and I can’t live without. I have my other two bottles on my sink counter at all time and I use them both depending on my mood. Now it’s really cute to have the new addition standing by her two sisters. What’s even cuter is that she’s dressed in a modern ob art theme.
