Shu Uemura Ultimate Eye Essentials – Lash Builder and Ultimate Natural Mascara Review

The eyelashes are for blocking out dust and particles that would otherwise harm our eyes. Besides that purpose, it is also an area that’s important for beauty. The longer the thicker eyelashes are the more attention they grab. But you may ask what if I have naturally short and sparsed eyelashes?

Shu Uemura’s Ultimate Eye Essentials Lash Builder Eyelash Nourishing Serum & Ultimate Natural Mascara are here.

Both are available at shuuemura-usa, Lash Builder and Ultimate Natural Mascara are $33 and $28 respectively.

The both of them have standard exterior design which are sleek and easy to handle. The lash builder comes in silver tube where the mascara comes in lacquer black.

Starting off with the lash builder. The lash builder is said to be a lash boosting serum that provides natural lash growth. It also provides visibly longer, thicker, and fuller lashes. But that’s not all!!! Lash builder also repairs and protects lashes for a healthier look. The wand is a cone shaped for coating the serum to even the hardest to reach lashes. The brush is fairly small so it applies easily to the corner and lower lashes. The serum did help my lashes grow a bit thicker and longer than I last recall. The formula is not only effective but also gentle. I didn’t experience any irritation.

Now lets take a look at the Ultimate Natural Mascara in Black. Shu makes several great mascaras for different needs, including volume, lengthening, etc. This one is for natural looking finish. The formula creates an ultra thin film on the lash surface. Also it is designed to prevent smudging or flaking.

The wand bristles are at a comfortable size, not too gigantic nor too small. It has good coverage but not too heavy so it doesn’t weigh down my lashes. There is a bit lengthening effect but it does better job in holding curls. The color is very black which makes my lashes look darker and thicker, at the same time natural and defined. The formula is water proof but it was very easy to remove with an eye makeup remover.

Shu Uemura’s lash builder and ultimate natural mascara are both masterpieces for creating healthier more beautiful lashes. The lash builder serum helps grow longer, fuller, and thicker lashes while the mascara provides a more natural defined look. It is like the best of both worlds.

I really want to grow my lashes so I tried some lash serums before. Sadly none of them worked. I may give the Shu one a try.

It does take some time for the lashes to grow so good luck with it if you did end up trying it.

I was a big fan of Shu Uemura basic mascara so I switched to the ultimate natural mascara. It was as great as the basic but still pretty good at holding curls and stuff. I’m more interested in the lash serum. I heard rapidlash is good. How do you compare the two?

I never tried RapidLashes so I can’t do a comparison on that, sorry.

I love Shu Uemura mascaras. The formula doesn’t dry up as fast as other mascaras so I can do more layers. For the lash builder, I did try one before but it wasn’t working.

I think you need a little patience for the lash serum to show any result. Give it a month or two with regular use should be good.
