SK-II Facial Treatment Essence Dupe : Ozeki Nada Kuramotohatsu Lotion

Hey ladies, sorry for not updating my blog lately. The weather here has been gloomy, so is my blogging mood. Though I should have a ton of topics to write about, I did some clothing haul, some cosmetics shopping here and there. But today I feel like doing a review since I haven’t done it for a while.

I’m sure a lot of you girls like to find the dupe lists for makeup items. I admit I don’t usually do it. I think no two items would be identical even they look alike. But for the purpose of fun and saving money, it’s not a bad idea at all. Today I’m bringing you a dupe item for SK-II Facial Treatment Essence Lotion, my absolute HG lotion. I’ve used at least 5 bottles in the past few years with several exceptions for trying new stuff. Not quite ready to shell out 200 bucks for the 6th bottle, I found the similar sake yeast lotion.

It’s in a beautiful frosted glass bottle that looks like a little sake. It’s made of Ozeki Junmai sake. The not so big bottle actually holds 150ml.

It sells for $15 at Mitsuwa market or you can get it online.

Good for all skin type. It doesn’t contain any fragrance but it does smell like sake just like the SK-II.

The ingredients

The best way to apply it is by hand. You pour the lotion in the palm of your hand and rub around.

Then you press it firmly onto the face. I learned this trick from a SK-II lady. She did a comparison of this method and using a cotton pad. Amazingly by doing this, my skin absorbs a lot more products than the cotton pad.

My thoughts:

I’ve only used it for a couple days but I really grew to like it. The faint sake scent is very refreshing but the moisturizing effect from the sake yeast is amazing. It also helps minimize my skin breakout. Compare to the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, it works just about the same but at a fraction of its price. I may even consider sticking to this lotion for a while unless SK-II is having a major discount.

this sounds so yum! like when i am reading, i can just imagine myself smelling the sake for some reason hahaha. that’s a good tip to apply toner with hands, i’ve also tried that before w/ my alcohol free ones and i quite like it, the warmth of my palm feels good. but nowadays i’m using my good ol’ clinique toner so i just use a cotton pad — also i guess cotton pad makes the product run out faster lol. i haven’t gone to mitsuwa in forever, i need to go! the SKII one is $200 a bottle?!! wowww!!

I love dupes as much as the next girl, but I will only buy them if they are from a brand that I like i.e. Integrate and their many dupes for Lunasol quads hahaha xD

I’ve never heard of this brand, and at $15, it is an affordable alternative indeed!!
