SK-II Whitening Source Brightening Derm Specialist

Recently, I began to notice that MACY’s is having more and more sales. Ridiculous as it looks from falling prices to heavy discounting, I sometimes wonder how they could make profit margins or even gain money back. Everything seemed to be like a sale on top of a sale and on top of another sale. The lists practically goes on and on nonstop. Though, I wish cosmetics and makeup would be discounted. However, only a few selected locations have stuff that I would actually buy and the stores are usually crowded during the times I visit them.

Having spots around your face whether existing or hidden can be a big pain. Not only does it make an uneven overall skin tone, it also requires extra concealing work when putting on makeup. Luckily skin whitening is something that can be done to eliminate or at least lessen those spots. From Dior’s DIORSNOW line to Giorgio Armani’s Luminescence, and Shu Uemura’s White Recovery Cleansing Oil, these all have whitening properties for the face. Today, I would like to introduce the prestigious SK-II Whitening Source Brightening Derm Specialist.

The Brightening Derm Specialist is like having a personal dermatologist friend at your own comfort home who specializes in brightening of the skin. How cool is that?! To me, it is a new friend that could help remove those pesky spots. This brightening essence is jam packed with Pitera which is what SK-II is famous for. There is also Vitamin C derivative as well (not for eating though). So it is very heavy duty and it is able to color balance the skin providing a more even skin tone.

The photo above pretty much sums up how the packaging design looks like. It comes with a dropper doubled as a top cap sealing the otherwise sleek reflective silver body when not in use. The outside box comes in a burgundy red color with the obvious SK-II badge in the middle over yet, sleek reflective silver. From box to bottle design color schemes, it is very uniform.

When you twist open the dropper you will notice that the tip is slanted which provides an easier control over the straight tip design. Depending on how hard you squeeze the rubber bulb, you get one drop or a few drops instead of a huge blob of product. The directions do require you to apply p a few drops over the face and smooth out evenly but pay special attention to the dark spots.

During my adventure with my new dermatologist friend, I found that there is virtually no scent and the essence has a gel like texture that is weightless on the skin and absorbs almost instantly. It feels very comfortable and luxurious when spreading onto the skin. There is absolutely no sticky feeling at all.

I put this essence to test for a mere 2 weeks, and I found some acne scars and spots disappeared. What did I do? After evenly applying the essence to my whole face, I applied an extra drop to those areas! I began noticing the spots got lighter after a week and the overall skin tone looked brighter.

SK-II Brightening Derm Specialist not only targets dark spots, it also gives your skin a translucent glow. It brings skin whitening to a whole new degree. One of the things that really stuck out was its ultra quick absorption and area being treated became soft, hydrated, and smooth. This whitening essence really makes a good dermatologist friend. So do you plan to invite it home?

Oh I used a whole bottle of this up and didn’t notice any signficant differences brightening dark spots or my entire face. Some of my acne hyperpigmentation/scars faded but that may have just been because…well…they do that! They do tend to fade if you wear SPF and avoid the sun.

I probably should have taken photos as a reference but I forgot… It did make my face feel nice and soft though from the pitera..

Maybe different types of skin or people have different outcomes? But that is good that your scars and other things faded! SPF is probably the biggest factor for dark spots too. I remember a dermatologist once told me if I don’t put on any skincare, I should at least put on sunblock whenever I go out.

SK-II products are the best. I love the rice like scent in each bottle.

So lightly scents and lightweight is what I love best about SK-II. I constantly buy their moisturizer all the time. Luckily they have the bigger bottle for quite a cheap price.

It is indeed lightweight. You can feel the refreshingness of it against your face.
