Skin79 White Beblesh Balm BB Cream Review
BB cream has been popular for years, but I was never on the band wagon. It’s not like I haven’t tried any BB creams yet, I just don’t find them work that great for me. I’ve had Missha and Hanskin before, they were either too oily or looked weird on me. Recently I got a tube of Skin79 sample from one of my beauty magazines. The brand happened to be the sponsor of a Korean drama I’m currently watching, Baby Faced Beauty. So I decide to give it a try. Now I’ve been using it for almost a week, let’s see how it goes.
Normally BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream, but this is the first time I see Skin79 uses the term Beblesh Balm. Is this a real word? The packaging says “Functional skin beautifier that maintains the skin white, clean and transparent.” Does it do all the tricks?
Upon squeezing a bit on the back of my hand, it seemed very similar to a regular foundation to me. It doesn’t look gray or dull like the other BB creams I tried. So far so good.
This is right after blending out. The coverage was pretty good. Though it looked a bit dead white, my skin is well evened out. There’s a bit of herbal floral scent that’s quite subtle and it fainted over time.
10 minutes later, the color melted into my skin and it looked even more natural. It did brighten up my skin tone and give it a dewy sheen.
Just by using it for several days, I find myself start to like it. It doesn’t break me out or give me a lot of shine like Missha did. The color looks natural, doesn’t seem too heavy though the coverage is superb. Staying power is also great, as it stay put for 5+ hours before blotting. The whitening effect works well, like the description says, giving me a clean and transparent look. Overall I think it’s a great product. Have you tried any BB creams? Which one is your favorite?
Right now, I’m really liking the new Garnier BB Cream. I’m NC30 because of all my Oman sun exposure, and I have a little bit of trouble with standard Asian BB creams, which are too light for me now.
Wow, I didn’t know Garnier had BB cream. That’s good that you like it!
this one’s interesting, i like the bright dewy finish! so far my favorites are the Skin79 hot pink BB cream and the Nanoce BB Moist cream 🙂
I have got to check those out thanks for letting me know.
what an awesome find!
I’m scared to try other BB creams ever since I had a bad experience with the first and only BB cream I tried. It broke me out like crazy!
Oh that sucks. Maybe this one will work out for you. It didn’t even give me any breakouts like Missha!
It looks nice on your skin. Though I’ve never tried bb cream, now you got me all interested.
Hehe. Laura the BB cream is actually not bad it works like a charm.
i think i will have to give this bb cream a try. i noticed with all the bb creams ive tried so far, it has a greyish tint. crossing my fingers this bb cream will work out for me!
Audrey if you ever get this cream let me know how you like it. Which ones had greyish tint?
I remember for sure the Missha M Perfect Cover one gave a grayish tint. It did go away after half an hour, but still.
Wow that sucks… Thanks for letting me know.
This seems great on yyour skin. I want to give it a try now.
Go buy it and see if you like it. This one was pretty good.
I have this BB cream, love it. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you like it. Thanks for commenting.
omg the brightening effect looks amazing after oxidizing =]
the beblesh balm name, i heard somewhere that the original name was blemish balm, but some company copyrighted it or something.
Thanks for letting me know about the background info. I never knew.
It seems like a great foundation.
It’s neat. You should try it if you get a chance.
The coverage is lovely! Know where to get it?
I think you can get it online at http://www.skin79usa.com
I’ve never used a BB cream before but thanks for sharing. It looks great.
Thanks!
I love Lancome BB Base (Japanese release). Tried Boscia and both Dr Jart+ from Sephora.
I liked Boscia, but Dr Jart+ was horrible on me. Shiny, gray, pore exposing….
Never heard of Dr Jart+ but Lancome has a BB base? I am going to go find the Lancome one.
Lancome has BB cream but for Asian market, friend sent it to me from Tokyo.
They all have BB creams in Asia – Dior, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown… you name it!
OMG Dior also has a BB cream. What does it called? And Bobbi?
Yes, all of them! Do you have any Japanese beauty magazine? They always advertise them!
I don’t remember exact name but it’s from Dior Snow White line.
I have all 3 beauty magazines for each month but never paid attention. I do remember seeing Dior Snow White line somewhere. Time to read magazines again.
