Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Mandarin, Mocha Swatches and Review

Lightweight, cutting edge, and sleek are the new names for Smashbox’s Be Legendary Lipstick. The colors in the set are all that you can imagine. Whether they are matte or cream, there are so much to choose from!

Both Mandarin and Mocha from Smashbox along with other colors are available at,, and for $19.00 each.

Mandarin is an electric coral color whereas Mocha is a dark chocolate themed color. The outside of the box portrays a pretty accurate look at how the lipstick looks like once uncapped. Each lipstick comes in at a net wt of 0.1 oz.

The lipstick held in the hand is made lightweight yet easy to grasp in design. It also has a smooth rubber feel which prevents the lipstick from slipping off the fingers. On the very bottom of the lipstick is the sticker showing the name of the color for the specific lipstick.

One of the first things I noticed after popping out the lipstick was how creamy and intense they looked, especially Mocha being a really darling winter shade.

The pigmentation is outstanding. One application is enough for full coverage. Each color provides a very bold approach which stands out in the crowd. Imagine a black and white photo with the exception of the lips being the color from either lipstick. That is how much these lipsticks standout. They are enriched with vitamins C, E and shea butter which keep your lips feeling smooth. They are also moisturizing so you won’t feel any dryness. Besides the awesome coverage and long lasting power, these cream shades also provide a lustrous finish.

As pigmented as these can be, Smashbox Be Legendary lipsticks blew me out of the water. I didn’t expect such high color pigmentation along with such an easy application all melted into a tube of lipstick. They seriously are legendary, every woman should have one of these in her lipstick wardrobe.

Seemingly so pigmented do they stain your lips?

Even though they are pigmented, they don’t really stain your lips. It’s quite easy to remove off your lips.

Gorgeous! I ordered a nude one to try, but both of these are so pretty! I tried to buy a color I didn’t already own tons of, though 😛

Sephora has those VIB events all the time. Maybe some extra kickers for buying things.

I’ve never tried Smashbox lipsticks before but they do seem pigmented.
