smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Foundation SPF 10 in 2.4 Swatch and Review

Searching for the perfect foundation can be hectic. The symptoms of going bottle after bottle can include wrong color match, not providing enough coverage, cakey finish, lack of SPF protection or even skin break out. When everything goes right, there is still a risk of need for touch-ups due. Especially sweat and oil are not helping. Don’t you just hate to check in the mirror every other hour?

Smashbox designed a range of foundation known to be Studio Skin, boasts a 15 hour wear time. Let’s take a look.

There is a wide range of 12 colors to meet your expectations with each bottle at 30 ml. They can be found online at smashbox.com.

The outside of the box depicts the color of the foundation in 2.4, which is for light to medium skin tone. The foundation itself is oil free, also carries UVA / UVB SPF 10.

Here is a description from the side of the box of what this foundation can do. Notice that it provides medium to full coverage while the skin remains hydrated and all throughout the day.

The bottle itself is a glass bottle with a pump for a clean use.

With a single pump the foundation is shown here with a dab. The consistency is not so liquidy, it’s more like a light cream.

The blending is very lovely, it melts into the skin effortlessly and dries into a natural finish. Even though the color is a bit dark for me, it does have great coverage. It felt light and moisturizing on my skin. Several hours later I tried to rub it with my fingers, much to my surprise it didn’t budge a bit. Even at the end of the day it still looked fresh like I just put it on. It’s amazing how it lasted all day.

With 12 colors to choose from, the wide range of foundation color is there to match any skin tone. The best part is the foundation isn’t drying after setting in. The coverage is great and this is one of the longest lasting foundations that money can buy. Best of all, this foundation is cruelty free!

I have this foundation in 1.1 the lightest shade. It’s still a tad dark for me but blends out ok. It lasts all day so I really like it. I just wish the color goes a bit lighter.

Seems like a perfect foundation for a wedding day. Does it get oily at the end of the day?

I used to like Bobbi Brown skin foundation but recently I got to try this. It’s 10 times better than the Bobbi’s. It really lasts over 12 hours for me.

Ooh, thanks so much for this review! Lately I’ve been thinking of investing in a foundation, but have been wondering what brand and type to get. Sounds like this one is has great coverage.

This foundation lasts a long time and its very easy to apply and use. Sephora is having that VIB $15 or $20 off right now with $50 purchase. Might be a good time to invest.

Awesome foundation. Does EXACTLY what it claims. I have super oily skin, before smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear I used at least 4 blotting papers in a 9 hour work day, with studio skin I’m down to 1. I also have very sensitive skin that is prone to break outs but this foundation doesn’t cause me to break out.
