Sojourn Shampoo Conditioner Volume Review

Have you ever faced the same problem as I do? You go to the best salon in town and get the trendiest hairdo from the master stylist. Then you step out the door like going on the red carpet, but right after you shower at night you look in the mirror and think what just happened? Why is my hair all flat and lifeless? It’s like Cinderella went back to normal when it just past midnight. I even have the best hair tools on the market, so why doesn’t my hair look as great after I wash it?

Over the years I’ve been having the same nightmare each time I wash my hair and loose that volume I loved. Now after trying these products I finally found out the reason. One shampoo and conditioner just make so much difference that I never thought about.

The first product here is the Shampoo Volume. It’s 300ml for $25 on Sojourn. There is also a bigger bottle of 1 liter available at $46.

by elan • s” who’s elan s, you ask? You probably heard about Vidal Sasson, the creator of “mop top”, a type of bob style. Yes he’s the son of Vidal S.

Formulated to give your hair maximum long lasting volume without raising your hairs natural pH and opening the cuticle. This lightweight formulation adds strength and moisture all the while holding your hair to give it exceptional volume.

This shampoo is all biodegradable but any preservatives. NO Sulfate, NO Paraben, No Formaldehyde, NO Gluten, NO Alcohol (denatured), NO Artificial Color, NONE!

It doesn’t need any special instructions just like any shampoo, you take some product and massage into hair for 2-3 minutes, rinse and you’re ready for next step.

This is the full list of ingredients for your reference. Note it contains Keratin, a key structural component that makes our hair strong and healthy.

Even though the happy bunny sign is missing from the bottle, this shampoo is totally Cruelty Free and not tested on animals. It’s also domestic made.

Now let’s talk about the product itself. It has a really light and pleasant scent that’s not strong but rather refreshing. The shampoo is in a thick clear gel texture, like the label says “no artificial color.”

When lathering up on the hair, the foam feels unbelievably rich yet super airy. I know it sounds strange but that’s how I felt the first time I used it. I was like “WOW! This thing is awesome!” And I still have the exact same feeling every time I shampoo. I like to play with the foam on my hand like a kid taking a bubble bath.

The photo below is a simulation of the foam on my hand. I normally only shampoo once unless I have a lot of styling products then I will do twice. But either way it leaves my hair soft, smooth, even like I’ve used conditioner already.

Next we move on to the conditioner which is a 250ml bottle valued at $26 from Sojourn. Do note that a 1 liter bottle is available at $46.

Formulated to give your hair maximum long lasting volume without raising your hairs natural pH and opening the cuticle. This lightweight formulation adds strength and moisture all the while holding your hair to give it exceptional volume.

Just like the shampoo the condition is also all biodegradable but without preservatives.

It also works like any other conditioner. You just need to place a small amount in the palm of your hands and massage into damp hair and leave it on for 2 – 3 minutes. Afterward don’t forget to rinse.

Click the photo below for detailed list of ingredients.

It is also cruelty free without any animal testing.

The conditioner is a lot thicker than the shampoo. It has the same scent as well but much stronger. It’s very easy to rinse off. After using the conditioner I find that my hair becomes silky smooth to the touch and the pleasant scent lasts a long time.

Continuing his dad’s legacy Elan Sassoon has made these hair products very enjoyable. Both the shampoo and conditioner have sweet and fresh floral scent that leave the hair feeling nice. After using both products, my hair looks really soft and shiny! They are bouncy without the weight. I also like that the conditioner has extra UV protection and advanced technology to protect color. If you want fuller healthier hair, definitely consider give these a try. You’ll love how much difference they make.

Oh nice products! I was using Ojon and it didn’t do much for me. Maybe I should give this a try.

I’m glad these work out for you. I’m always looking for the perfect volumnizing products since a lot of them don’t even do anything. Do you know if they ship to Guam?

You know what, I am not too sure. I know at the checkout area they have country for Guam. So I am assuming they do take order.

I have a Vidal Sassoon curling iron. It was great. I never used any Sojourn products but these seem really nice.
