Sultra Heat Safe Protective Spray with Thermastress Complex Review
A week ago, I used a fabulous hair iron from Sultra. It was The Seductress which had 3 in 1 functionality towards hair styling. You can find the review here. During that time, I used one of their sprays which I promised that I would show you. Some of you got intrigued by it because it smelled like coconuts.
Today, I decided that it is time to show you the Sultra Heat Safe Protective Spray with Thermastress Complex.
While we love styling our hair with the various tools we use from irons to blow-drying and more! But we might not know one thing, that is to protect our hair from heat damage. YES! HEAT DAMAGE! That is why the folks over at Sultra created this miraculous coconut (I love coconuts) spray to protect our hair from heat caused by hair styling tools.
The spray comes in at 150 ml @ $18 at Brookstone.
Here is a brief description of what the spray does from the back of the box.
Upon opening the box, the first impression obtained was that the inside of the box was full of GLAM with the sexy red! I love Sultra and their color coordination between Red and Black.
A brief description over at Sultra states:
“Sultra’s heat-activated ThermaStress® Complex mends and defends the hair and creates a protective, anti-fading seal around hair. Repair, smooth and strengthen hair—all while you style!”
The bottle is in a long tall shape like most hair spray with a cap. The unique words and color really stands out giving the easiest to understand descriptions right on the front of the bottle.
While using the spray, remember to lightly spray sections of your hair when ironing or blow-drying. Too much isn’t the best option but too little is just like you never used it!
The ingredients are shown here with what is inside this bottle. There is Keratin!
As you might notice the picture here shows my hair being with and without the spray. Beside the coconut smell, without the spray my hair becomes dull and frizzy, almost towards the word Stupid. With the spray, my hair instantly looks smoother and sleeker with full of characteristics. The details are even seen with the naked eye on which side looks better!
Giving the hair strength and with a protective seal, Sultra’s spray adds a lot of character and details after styling. Unlike many sprays that have bad odor and such, the coconut smell made my hair smell pleasant almost tasty (ok not tasty but you get what I mean)! I did notice a difference in ironing, and that was my hair felt smoother and more hydrated as oppose to dull burned hair.

It does make a difference! the bits of hair around my face are starting to suffer from heat damage but I didn’t get them trimmed last week in the salon. Time for serum!
What kind of serum do you use dear?
I see the difference is pretty huge! I didn’t know Sultra makes this stuff, never saw it on Sephora but I need to get this. Love the coconut smell.
This spray is sold on Sultra website along with their styling tools. I also like their styling tips and stuff on the site.
This seems a winner. It works really well on your hair. Thanks for the review.
I like it too!
Great review. I never thought a heat protectant would make a difference but guess I was wrong.
Yea it’s always a good idea to put on heat spray when you brow dry or using styling tools.
Your before and after photo looks so much different. It’s very smooth and sleek looking. Nice product.
Yes you should smell it for yourself. I’m really liking the coconut scent.
