Sultra The Sophisticate Power Dryer, Diffuse, & Curl Safe Review

Known for their bold hot pink glove and sexy hair tools, Sultra also has a power house dryer that is so stylish and efficient. Check out Sultra’s inarguably most famous Bombshell here and Seductress here. Now on to the Sophisticate!

The Sophisticate Power Dryer runs for $245.00 and can be found on,,, and

Sophisticate comes in a clear top plastic view display case with blended floral on black hard box. The colors on the box just jumps right out with boldness. Besides the hair dryer there is also an air direction nozzle that comes in the box.

The secret behind the blow dryer is using negative ions to dissipate excessive moisture and having the tiny water molecules penetrate damaged hair to improve hydration. What do you get after blow dry? A smooth, soft, shiny, and hydrated hair. One word… Healthy!

The Sophisticate comes with a cool and hot setting along with an on and off switch. The neat part is there is also 3 temperature settings based on hair type. So there are Thick, Normal, and Fine for hair styling ease.

On the very back of the dryer, there is also an air filter duct that can be taken out to clean. Cleaning it results in faster drying time and better air flow. Those pesky dusts just won’t leave us alone…

Finally, here is the air direction nozzle which is an easy add-on attachment to the blow dryer. With this attachment, you get a concentrated blow for a targeted area.

Aside from the regular Sultra The Sophisticate packaging, there is also a diffuser that can be bought online for $20.00.

The diffuser creates volume vs frizz. With its durable convex shape you can get even negative ions and infrared rays where you want on your hair while blow drying.

Last but not least, Sultra is not only known for styling tools, it also has sprays that protect our hair while styling. I have featured the Heat Safe in the past, which can be found here. I will be featuring the Sultra Curl Safe today to show you how it works. The Curl Safe retails for $18.00.

The spray is for styling use and what it does is protects your hair from heat damages. When you blow dry or heat styling, this lightweight spray acts as a protective seal, repairing smoothing and strengthening the hair. In the contents there is Aquaflex which holds the look you are styling while defending your hair from humidity and heat damage up to 428°F. Just remember to spray prior to any heat activities for your hair.

The Sophisticate provides a very easy to use blow dryer that is packed with 1600 watts of efficiency. The neat feature of it having the hair setting really makes a difference in blow drying and styling at the same time. Traditionally, just one hair setting gives you frizzy unruly hair and very dry and dull. Sometimes, you might even have static once you touch your hair. OUCH! The Sophisticate takes all that away and more to provide the best experience for blow drying.

Sultra seems to be publicizing a lot recently about their products. I do own this blow dryer from the recent VIB 20% off event from Sephora. It’s not bad but haven’t put in the extra $$ for the diffuser yet.

That 20% off event is to drool for each year!

Those settings look great especially having the different style of hair. Do they have different blow drying speeds and are the noise louder the faster the blow?

It’s not louder but it penetrates the hair better. Blow dry time becomes cut by a lot.

How does this dryer compare to T3? I haven’t bought a hair blower yet and I am wondering if it is worth the extra money.

The T3 has tourmaline and Sultra is a cool black looking hair dryer. Setting wise and all are pretty similar. I would say you need to go to the store to hold them in your hands before you decide. Sephora has testers out I think.
