SUQQU Balancing Cheeks 02 Mukuge 木槿 Swatch and Review

SUQQU is a brand of quality that brings naturally enhancing makeup with best formulation. Earlier we have featured SUQQU eyeshadow and face color from the spring 2012 collection. Today we’ll talk about the brand’s blush. It is a two in one blush and highlighter compact, called Balancing Cheeks. The duo work harmonically together creating a soft contour and subtle glow on the face.

There are 4 color variations, 01 Momozoe, 02 Mukuge, 03 Hinageshi and 04 Kinmokusei. The palette we have here is 02 Mukuge. For those of you that don’t know what Mukuge (木槿 ) is, it is Hibiscus in Japanese.

Mukuge comes in SUQQU’s traditional elegant and smooth black designed box. The list of ingredients is on the back.

Holding the box together along with protecting the compact is a white foam board. Also, there is a suede like pouch with brand’s logo on top.

Here are two photos of the compact front and back.

SUQQU Balancing Cheeks in Mukuge provides a natural looking set of colors along with a soft and smooth brush.

Even though being a travel sized brush, it is made with high quality and feels so soft, almost like a fluffy squirrel’s tail brushing against your cheeks while you put colors on.

The highlighting color is more or so a soft pale pink whereas the cheek is a rosy toned coral. Something that is very subtle and sophisticated.

Here are some additional photos taken with camera flash. As you can see there are some sparse fine shimmers appearing now, which are not visible previously. That’s what we call a subtle face color that brings out subtle glow.

This first thing that came to my mind when I was swatching this was the amount of quality and workmanship that was put into it. The powders and shimmers are both super finely milled. No chunks or unevenness can be seen at all. Especially the soft shimmers that might not be much noticeable but secretly giving off a natural looking glow complexion. The first swatch was taken in sunlight while the second swatch was done with camera flash. Both colors were heavily swatched on the left side and evenly blended with the included brush on the right.

SUQQU Balancing Cheeks provides high quality with superb overall design. The color combination is highly wearable for everyday and compliment any makeup look. Pigmentation is soft and translucent so it’s impossible to be overdone. Holding the elegant compact in hand while applying cheek color will instantly purify your mind and give you the sense of inner serenity. It’s a luxurious experience from inside out.

Definately can’t live without the blush. I also want this blush or every Suqqu one. How does it compare with NARS?

Suqqu has a finer formulated shadow.

Do you recommend this color on a darker skin tone or a lighter skin tone?

I would recommend a swatch of the product in store. Or I would say on lighter skin tones.
