I finally got my hands on a new palette from SUQQU for Spring 2013. It not only looks empowering holding the palette in the box, it also has an elegance to it just like every palette and product from the brand. Known for its high quality and luxuriousness, let’s check out how the palette performs this season.
White can be seen from Holiday 2012 and in a few spring collections these days such as Giorgio Armani. Today we are featuring SUQQU’s newest blend color eyeshadow Ex-12 Hisuidama (翡翠珠). For more information regarding what has been released check out the press.
Besides having the palette coming in an all white exterior and black highlights for the pan, the colors are absolutely eye catching for Spring. The palette also includes a double sided sponge applicator as well as a double sided brush applicator.
Being named Hisuidama, jade pearl in Japanese, the palette features color green on the top right corner. The rest of shades are bright pearly white, pale pink, and earthly brown. And you’re probably wondering why I have two similar photos takend below. If you pay close attention, you would notice that the colors look slightly different due to light refection. That’s pretty much accuring in all SUQQU palettes.
When swatched, these colors have a few notable characteristics. They include being pigmented, finely milled, and extremely smooth. All swatches are made with a single swipe of shadow. Each one of them exhibits different texture and finish. The pearly white leans towards a frosted look, jade green is a pearly finish, pale pink has the least amount of shimmer and brown appears to shine with fine crystals. There are tiny sparse shimmers scattered throughout all four shadows give the eyes bright look. These colors are more natural and great for everyday instead of the big bold colors of red, blue, and black. Depth can be seen through blending and layering.
I don’t know if it is a brand new formula or what but the eyeshadows are like upgraded. What I mean by upgraded is that the smoothness and richness from it including pigmentation goes hand in hand without any flaw. Lasting ability is also quite amazing, there’re no shadow fallouts, no fading or whatsoever. The color combination is also classic yet fresh. Though you probably think SUQQU’s palettes look all similar, it does make a difference when wearing them. And each one of the palettes is unique and beautiful on its own.
