Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Palette, Eye Dream Hyperlight Swatches and Review

With the look of a princess especially with her hot pink wig on  hair, Tarina Tarantino has yet another few products that are not only stellar but easy to use. Her products also come in a jewelry like case design with hot pink accents. Today we’ll be featuring the Dollskin Cheek Palette and Eye Dream Hyperlight.

When I recall seeing Tarina’s packaging design almost a year ago I didn’t see anything like what it is today. It’s even more detailed and glamorous than before. For a look at the packaging design in the past click here.

Anyways, let’s take a look at the Dollskin Cheek Palette first. It can be bought exclusively at Sephora.

Designed at the Sparkle Factory in Downtown Los Angeles.

This cheek palette comes in a metallic like casing made with light weight plastic material. When you open the case up there are 4 blushes ready to use.

“I love blush and feel that no makeup look is complete without it. As a makeup artist, I was constantly searching for the perfect range of blush colors to give cheeks a sweet, romantic flush. In the past I had to mix several blushes to create the effect I wanted. Now I have created the perfect collection of complimentary blush shades for every skintone. These highly pigmented formulations mean a little goes a long way while providing a longwearing finish.” XOXO, Tarina Tarantino, jewelry designer and makeup artist

The colors included are:

Feather (Shimmery Peach) – top left
Parasol (Shimmery Pink / Peach) – top right
Carved Rose (Cool Vivid Pink) – bottom left
Candy Cameo (Shimmery Pink) – bottom right

When I applied each color on my arm I found that the silky texture from each blush brings a subtle glow that is so natural that it brightens up the entire area. The colors itself is quite buildable depending on how much of the blush you wanted to use otherwise a little bit would be more than enough for a princessy dolled up cheek.

The colors from the swatch matches the color locations of the palette so that you can see how each colors look like side by side. The top two shades are more peachy compared to the bottom pink shades and the right two shades contain more shimmers than the left two. But all 4 shades are highly wearable for all skin tones.

Next we have Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperlight, also available at Sephora. This product is an eye brightener which fixes up all the dark circle, tired looking eyes or even discoloration. It’s an instant wake up potion for the eyes!

The eye brightener comes in a shiny metallic housing in 3 different sections. There is a turn knob on the bottom with a housing in the middle for handle and finally a cap on the top with Tarina Tarantino branding.

“Eye Dream Hyperlight is my magic wand. Like a liquid spotlight, Hyperlight luminizes and brightens under eyes and along cheek bones for an instant highlight and lit-from-within glow.”  — Tarina Tarantino

This quick fix has a built-in brush applicator once you pop off the top. When you turn the knob the eye brightener is dispensed and ready to use.

The brightener dispenses a light cream kind of liquid that is easy to apply. I applied a little droplet on the back of my hand then evenly smoothed out. The salmon pink color highlighter brightens the area up making it look next to flawlessness. It is also radiant as well as giving off a glow. One thing I noticed that it performs quite well for being crease free the entire time. It doesn’t dry up the sensitive eye area nor does it sink into fine lines. The formula has no shimmers in it so feel free to wear it when you take photos.

When I saw these products, the first thing that came to my mind was like WOW! Tarina’s packaging design really look a lot different now compared to before. It is so sleek and professional without sacrificing the princessy look. The product itself remains high quality if not better. The blush palette has nice color pigmentation bringing a healthy glow to the cheeks whereas the Hyperlight really masquerades the discoloration around the eyes making them look perfect at all angles. Overall these items are simply essential for any makeup stash.

That’s not a wig on Tarina Tarantino, that’s her real hair! She dyes it hot pink. 😀

Beautiful swatches – need that blush palette!

Yep, I notice the hair now instead of the wig. It is such a nice pink though.
