The Foundation Series – Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup and Foundation Brush

So I recently gotten into art. I have been trying to sketch and etch on drawing paper. You know those specialized ones that you find at Aaron Brothers or even Michaels? I related this to makeup. The sketch book itself is like our face whereas the color and rest are like makeup. If the canvas isn’t perfect clean or even has winkles on it, chances are the drawing won’t look good. This goes the same with our face.

That is why I think foundations are probably one of the best things created to make our face look flawless, like the perfect canvas for art. Some foundations probably work better than others. I have recently come across some foundations that tend to dry up quickly where it cracks and doesn’t live up to its name. I also encountered some foundations that don’t create the flawlessness that I had imagined. But one thing I know for sure is that the new Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup makes things better. Coupled with the Foundation Brush 1, the duo collaborates like no other.

Estee Lauder was founded over 60 years ago, today it’s a prestigious company that makes fantastic beauty products. The packaging comes in a classic eye calming navy blue background and golden text / insignia.

So what makes the Invisible Fluid Makeup so invisible? You might be thinking well it’s invisible. It makes you feel like wearing no makeup. It is all true because the technology IntuiTone is what’s behind this foundation. This technology adapts to your unique skintone where the shade looks like an exact match to yours. Other than that, it is weightless and makes your skin breathe quite easily. There is a total of 16 shades catered to all sorts of skintones from the line. Finding the perfect match wouldn’t be an issue.

This foundation is housed in an easy to dispense and lightweight bottle design. Remember to shake the bottle up a bit before use to get a perfect and freshly blended foundation each time.

Once you twist off the cap you will notice the design is a simple squeeze bottle with a pin on the cap to prevent spillage. On the bottom of the bottle it shows the color of the foundation. I have the color 2CN1 today that I will be showcasing in terms of color.

Before we see the actual color of the foundation, let’s talk about the brilliant foundation brush. Estee Lauder provides a sleek looking brush that feels soft to the skin and gives exceptional blending capabilities. The synthetic hair is tapered at the edge providing even and flawless application. The wooden handle is ultra smooth and lightweight, so holding the brush is truly enjoyable.

So below is a diagram of the foundation. There is a total of 3 different things to look at. On the left side of the vertical dotted line is the foundation blended with the fingertips. Inside the dotted oval is with the brush. Finally, in the middle shows the consistency of the formula. As you can see the foundation isn’t too thick nor is it too liquid-y. It does leave enough room for spreading and blending.

What I have observed was that the foundation provides a very sheer formula after blending. It indeed makes the foundation look invisible to the naked eye but leaves the skin in a flawless looking state. However, the difference between using the hand or the brush is still apparent. The brush provides a natural looking blend that is so flawless that people might think you were born with great skin. With the fingertips, the foundation still looks great, but you don’t get the extra flawless look the brush produced.

Invisible Fluid Makeup provides such an awesome camouflage on the skin leaving much to appreciate. The foundation not only turns skin into flawless canvas, it feels natural and lightweight to the point that you almost think you are not wearing makeup. The formula is also long lasting with shine control. So summer time you’re all set! Using the brush as your magic wand, even coverage is thus attained.

I was really wanting to try this one for a while, but I’ve read on some reviews that despite being oil-free, it’s not the best foundation for oily skin (which I have). The formula looks lovely though–I am a huge fan of these new very fluid foundations that are coming out.

Estee’s foundation is such a breakthrough. I never thought this foundation was such a great product. I was amazed at the number of colors that I saw in the store.
