Instead of a skull with crossbones, it is tokidoki and its heart and crossbones. The brand new nail polishes are all about whimsically fresh looking colors and bonus nail art stickers. They will never be boring, especially recreating the tokidoki effect.
Each nail polish comes with a nail art sticker sheet with 6 cute little things. As you might know, Bastardino and SANDy can be seen from the Cactus Friends on the sticker sheet.
Starting off with Donutella, it is a polish that holds fine red glitter along with gold confetti for a romantic tone, super girly and bright.
If you look at the polish being swatched, it is somewhat sheer but buidable. I would suggest a dual coat to get a bit more color out of it but overall it is something very different than the everyday polish. Since the gold confettis are all on different directions, when the light hits, they actually look multi-colored, giving the nails a more 3D effect.
Next we have such an intense color that is so much more darker than Donutella which is Latte. Latte comes in a fine blue and purple glitter along with purple and gold confetti. If you take a close look the contrasting colors look quite nice in the bottle.
Like Donutella, Latte is sheer and sparkly. Capturing the fine blue glitters is probably the hardest in this nail polish since the purple glitters and confetti will probably show up more.
When I first saw SANDy, all these colors stuck out to me. It was like a bottle of various colors that seemed like thin confetti. When I look closely, it was fine gold glitter but with green and blue confetti.
This polish is one of the funnest polishes to put on because it has different shaped colors of glitter when you put it on. It is refreshing to the eye where it’s not only a single gold shimmer glittery color. Instead there is blue and green to it.
Savana is a pool of melting gold color in the form of glitters with hints of pink. It’s like putting on some gold jewelry with some skin color in the background. It is highlighting.
This nail polish had a lot more color and coverage compared to the others in this post. After application you get a layer of fine gold glitter spread out all over. The hint of pink isn’t very noticeable but it does add a flush of color to the fingertips.
Last but not least is Stellina which is a mix of fine purple glitter with chunky magenta glitter. You can see the contrast from outside the bottle.
When I swatched the nail polish, it was sheerer than I expected because it was all glitter swimming in a pool of clear coat. However, with a second coat you could get a lot more coverage with a more unique color.
Each nail polish applies very well. The glitters are noticeably fine vs chunky bling bling styles. Colors are quite vibrant and eye catching especially after putting on a sticker or two. These nail polishes do bring a lot of character and flavor to the nails with a ton of fun. 6 nail stickers are definitely not enough, fortunately there’re also 2 separate nail sticker sets on Sephora available so you can play with till your heart’s content.
These nail polishes can be found exclusively at www.Sephora.com for $10 each.
