Tom Ford Private Blend Jasmin Rouge Eau de Parfum Review

In September 2011, Tom Ford unveiled Jasmin Rouge a very bold and daring jasmine scented parfum. Jasmin Rouge is bottled in a signature Tom Ford fragrance bottle except with a new twist. The entire bottle is in the color of a sensual red. A spray of the parfum will have you blown away.

Just like all Tom Ford fragrances, Jasmin Rouge came in a very elegant and stylish looking case representing its prestige. The fragrance comes in two sizes, 50 ml ($195) and 250 ml ($475).

The outside box design is a leathery texture with a very smooth finish that is easily grasped without much effort.

The boxes top doesn’t close all the way down because of it exemplifying the golden craftsmanship standard to making all Tom Ford parfums.

“Voluptuous. Sensuous. Audacious. Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge is a saturated, spiced floral. An unexpected blend of precious sambac jasmine sepals absolute, an ingredient never used before in perfumery with dusky clary sage and rich spices, it unveils a new facet of jasmine’s erotic decadence. Jasmin Rouge is as audacious as lacquered red lips. Its deep red bottle evokes lush and hedonistic glamour.”

The initial spray filled the air with distinctive jasmine scent but in a clean way. It is crisp, striking yet delicate. The fragrance is very sensual as you smell a little hint of spiciness but overall a lovely floral. Soon after, the green notes kick in so you’re like surrounded by the whole garden of jasmine. You’re hugged by the jasmine flower and the green leaves. The jasmine character then runs for another 3 to 4 hours until the rich amber and sweet vanilla slowly join the union. There is also a background scent of mandarin with a bit of leather to it. It is deep, warm, and sexy.

Having the signature Tom Ford Private Blend design in a rouge colored bottle, Jasmine Rouge is a master piece. Jasmine being one of the brightest scents, tends to be strong at first but wane down quickly. I was impressed by how Jasmine Rouge opens so light and fresh yet holds up so well throughout the whole time. I get roughly 8 to 10 hours wear time depending on the weather which I think quite exceptional. Originally this bottle was said to be an evening parfum since jasmine flower really blooms at night time. I do wear it at day time as well when I want that extra spirit lift.

Tom Ford fragrances are the best. I’m officially hooked but I’m also interested in his skincare line.

His skincare line would probably be lux as well. Considering how must perfection he puts in his products.

I had it tested on paper last week at the mall and really like the scent, but I was afraid it won’t last. But 8 to 10 hours? That’s promising I’m getting it for sure.

I woke up one day and smelled a whiff of the scent only to remember I had applied it the night before. It is really long lasting.

I ended up buying the 50ml Violet Blonde at Saks after seeing your review and it’s now officially my signature scent. Now you’re alluring me again with Jasmine Rouge. Time to go back and give it a sniff.

Jasmin Rouge is a really nice scent. It is different from Violet Blonde but do give it a whirl.
