Weekend Adventures at Ikea and Mad Fish

Happy Sunday! Recently, the weather has been really nice. It’s sunny and most of the time it’s in mid 70s around my area. There’s no excuse to stay home on such nice days.

We went to Ikea to check on some bookshelves. But our first stop is the Ikea cafe. As usual we got the meatball meal. My husband thought about the princess cake there, he instantly grabbed one. It was alright for $1.99 but not that great.

I got the pasta. It was really bland so I don’t recommend this. Some salt would enhance the flavor tremendously.

We also got the fried chicken which was obviously the best. Even the french fries were good. MUNCH!

After, we took a look around their showrooms. Here is a child’s play room very organized. It seems like a dual purpose table with play and work all in one.

There is a giant ladybug that was stomping all over town… no it was a stuff toy that could be used as a seat… Or you can say it was thinking of building railroad all over town… some strategic planning there!

Ever since I saw this machine Ikea had where it seemed like it was pounding against the poor chair every sec, I thought it can’t be that durable because the pounding aren’t even full forced!

We also went to a Sushi Restaurant called Madfish. Madfish is a brand new Japanese restaurant chain popping up all over town with more on the way. While we were waiting for our order, the waiter treated us these sweet potato fries with brown butter miso aioli dipping sauce. They were so crunchy!

We got teriyaki chicken bento box for my daughter and me. More sweet potato fries lol. The meal was too big my daughter couldn’t finish them… Seriously!!!

Oh Yes! (tuna, salmon, hamachi, avocado deep fried) and spicy madness (tuna, cucumber, hot sauce).

Rich and famous! Oh boy this one is huge! It’s got deep fried shrimp, tuna, maguro, tako, salmon, hamachi and albacore in it. We wouldn’t order it if we knew it was this big. My tummy almost popped. But wait… hidden under the fish and salad was spicy tuna rolls lined up side by side.. It was extreme!

So this was my weekend. How about yours?
