Weekend Adventures with Home Made BBQ
Over the course of the weekend, the family and I decided to stay at home and eat dinner. So obviously we were thinking something fun… After hours we decided to do indoor bbq next to the window.
Looking at the fridge there was nothing… A quick mad dash made us end up at Mitsuwa Supermarket again… What did we get? Here are the goods:
What we have here is Maitake or Hen of the Woods. The mushroom is as good as nutritious medicine that can boost immune systems and prevent or even treating cancer. The tasty mushroom shown here is with black pepper, drizzles of soy sauce, and sesame oil.
Next we have oyster mushroom and shiitake mushroom underneath. But anyways, the mushroom is seen here with slices of garlic, green onion, salt, and sesame oil.
Zucchini, button mushrooms (I KNOW MORE MUSHROOMS), and sliced yellow onions are shown here marinated with korean bbq sauce. The sauce tasted sweet, tangy, and salty.
Next up we have living butter lettuce (butter lettuce with its roots still attached) with julienned green onion with homemade sweet and sour salad dressing.
Here is Ribeye Steak chopped up into thinner slices over marinade. This marinade sauce was a bit gingery tasting with hints of sweetness.
This is short rib cuts of beef without the bones over green onion slices and marinade sauce. This was the same marinade sauce as the previous photo.
What you now see here is thin slices of marbled beef marinated with green onions and sesame seeds. This dark marinade sauce was comprised of mainly soy sauce, and had a smoky taste to it. Almost like Korean beef marinade.
Finally here are the short ribs drizzled with salt, black pepper, green onions, and sesame oil.
Hope you enjoyed… Don’t get hungry now!
Great post! Great Asian-theme BBQ!
