World’s Finest Sweet Indulgence – Vosges Crema Caramels

Being a big fan of chocolates and candies, I got to confess that I am drooling while looking at the photos. Not only do I want to grab it and start munching on it, I sense that it is calling my name. Scratch all that out!

Vosges is inarguably one of the world’s famous sweets store that has some of the craziest but most innovative thought up combinations for chocolates. The combinations include bacon, ancho, and chipotle chilies. Let’s take a look at what we have.

Vosges’ Crema Caramel comes in a mini box with 4 pieces of rich caramel and nutty cashews covered with deep milk chocolate. It’s the perfect size that you can either hog it all to yourself or share it with your family and maybe your best friends. If you look at the back of the box, it actually suggests a pairing with Quilmes beer from Argentina. Quilmes is a mild pilsner that is able to enhance the flavor of the chocolate taking it to a whole new playing field.

When I first opened the box, my initial thought was, “Wow! such cute chocolates with luscious aroma.” 4 pieces of mini bites are sprinkled with super fresh cashews like they were just harvested, but the chocolates are even more alluring. I can tell by the texture / color of them on how delicious it is going to be. The cashews add an extra mildly nuttiness into the mix. And the milk chocolate shell is so delicate that it melts on contact.

Vosges Crema Caramels taste silky smooth with rich chocolatey taste on the exterior. Oh I forgot to mention the exotic cashews from Costa Rica! With a munch you’re like living in heaven filled with bliss and harmony. The soft Argentine dulce de leche (caramel) center melts right in your mouth. But that’s not all! It has a perfect balance between sweet and saltiness. Hawaiian and Australian salts are added into the caramel mix. When I last used Hawaiian salt it was from Haleakala in the form of red sea salt. I used it to complement a few of my seafood dishes. As for the Australian, it was pink finishing salt flakes. Anyways, I originally thought that the rich milk chocolate shoot through the roof on the sweetness meter because milk chocolate and caramel is extremely sweet however contrary to my initial judgement, the taste isn’t overpowering at all, just simply perfect. So you can rest assure that you won’t get any toothaches afterwards, just smiles.

They have chili, bacon, and a lot of other ingredients mixed into chocolate which is quite unique.

I tried their bacon bar once and it was salty. There were bacon flavors inside though.
