WOW Someone with These PAPERSELF Broken Hearts Under the Sea Faux Eyelashes This Valentine’s Day

As a kid I loved the aquarium and all sorts of wildlife under the sea. It is simply fascinating. There are corals for jewelry and fish and sea life that you don’t get to see easily. Besides the aquarium, origami was also something I loved very much. Folding paper to get cranes, kimonos, and frogs were really neat. You had to have some skill to it!

Paperself is a company that designs all sorts of neat things on paper in the form of faux eyelashes. Let’s take a look!

Paperself’s Broken Hearts Under the Sea (original $19) is on sale at $9.00 from Sephora.

The pair of faux eyelashes come in a box with a peek hole in the middle. You can simply lift the cover and see how the lashes look inside.

The set of lashes depicted today will be Under the Sea. According to Paperself, “Under the Sea,” means secret treasure. It feels so auspicious and mysterious at the same time.

The lashes are intricately designed almost like lash jewelry. You could trim the lashes so that the design is different or suited to what you want. Looking closely at the design, you can see coral, fish, and stars. I also forgot the seahorse as well!

For the look, I used 2 of my favorite shades from tokidoki Airways Palette. New York was applied all over the lid just slightly above the crease, Tokyo was applied on lower lash line. For the faux lashes, I had to cut down 0.5″ from the outer end (the seahorse) since it’s a bit longer than the length of my eye. But I reapplied it on top of the outer end so there was no waste. You can apply it anywhere you like even on the lower lashes. I also find that putting the glue on the top edge really helped lashes stand up.

Paperself is a relatively new concept to me. I have never really experienced such intricately designed eyelashes. It is so much more unique and you could design them the way you like. After putting on the lashes it did make me feel like a sea creature since the design theme was all about the sea. Even though it was suggested for single use, if taken good care they can be reused. I was able to remove the lash glue in one piece and saved the paper faux for next time. Ahem February 14 here I come!

Paperself has so many nice designs and they are sold only at Sephora I Think. Each has its own meaning. The one shown here is for Secret Treasure.

My wife actually went insane after seeing these eyelashes when they were demoing them in the Sephora store. But she said they tore easily.

The eyelashes do tear if you exert force on it. However, I think with any faux eyelashes they can tear. Pretty much delicate stuff needs to be handled with care.

Do these rip easily since they look like paper? How are the reuse rate?

They don’t rip that easy but you do need to handle it with care. You can reuse them over and over again. I had no problems.
